Once you visit it you'll get an error message "You are not logged in" and will be leaded here:
It looks the same, but it is fake. So you'll give them user and password and will get a "Wrong password" message to be leaded to the real login page, then you log in corecctly and visit that profile you got linked.
At this point you don't know they have your password, but they are going to wait until you log off and then will take control of your account. To avoid steam guard they may also try to get your mail or your pc.
Other links will just infect your pc to then redirect you to the real steam page.
And the most dangerous ones will infect you while still trying to get your password.
So be careful out there, don't you risk your accounts.
NOTE: I have faced this twice without knowing it lately. Luckily i just told them that it's their problem if they could not add me and that i would not move for them. They should move for me if they were as interested as they said (LOL)

It's been a couple days that weird people are trying to add me, no friends or groups in common. I obviously ignored them.
I knew about this anyway, thanks for sharing.

Seccond part of the story
So this is what i learn. That scam has also another side. Those links that can infect your pc contain a virus that makes your pc add people and send them the link and maybe virus also gathers information seeking for interesting parts (password, credit card...)
So if you added one of those hosts, delete them asap or virus will add your friends too.

Here we go, groups on Steam spreading the voice.
Important Phishing Information. Please Read!
26 AUGUST
I recently got added by someone named [unassigned] again. I knew from the start that it was a phishing bot, but I accepted it anyway. After accepting this person, I got this response as a result.
Now, we all know that you shouldn't download and trust files from unknown sources, but this is a lot bigger than you think.
I tried to change the file to an image extension to see if I can look at it, but upon doing that results in a file that you quote-unquote "burn to a disc drive."
This is as far as I got with this situation, knowing that if I went any further my Steam account, let alone my computer would be in trouble.
Anyway, spread the world; let people know about this because they might click and run the "install" on the file.
Do NOT attempt this on your own. Do not DOWNLOAD or RUN the file if you downloaded it. Delete it IMMEDIATELY! Stay away from people who add you for images. Keep your account safe. Verify Steam Guard, your email and make sure you have a strong password for both!
Video below of my explanation (720 to 1080 is recommended):
VIDEO IS NOT PRIVATE. IT'S PUBLIC!
We have encountered yet another phishing attempt from the bots that ridicule the world of Steam and their consumers. Please take this video and spread the word. Do NOT attempt this on your own.
